Overview

The French Section of Taipei European School is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated Supply Cover Teacher to assist the Class Teacher in the smooth running of the classroom.
** When a permanent Teacher is absent, the Schools will require the services of a supply Teacher. **

Teachers profile

Teachers are responsible for implementing the mission and philosophy of the school, working in collaboration with French, German, Chinese or English Curriculum teachers. They are passionate about working with students, stay abreast of current educational practices and strategies, and are able to use flexible and innovative pedagogical techniques appropriate to a variety of learning styles. Teachers at TES are part of an internationally diverse community of teachers and learners, and they have a willingness to adapt to our unique program and work within an integrated curriculum and practices.

A teacher is expected to demonstrate consistently high standards of personal and professional conduct. The following statements define the behaviour and attitudes which set the required standard for conduct at our top international school.

Qualifications

TES recruits well qualified, experienced career professionals. The candidate needs to be a qualified teacher (Poste de professeur(e) des écoles). Candidate should be a French-native speaker having an English proficiency C1 level OR an English-native speaker and who is an excellent communicator.

 

Certification desirable:
A Master of Education Degree from a recognized University.
A Degree from a recognized University plus either a Post Graduate Certificate of Education (PGCE), CAPES, or equivalent

A Bachelor of Education Degree from a recognized University, will be considered with relevant experience or/ holding a State Board of Education Certification (CAPES, etc.). Outstanding teachers from others backgrounds will be considered if the applicant is willing to learn and work with TES system and ethos.
Qualifications such as TESOL, DELTA, TESOL, DELF or other Language Teaching are a plus.

Relevant experience:
Experience of working in international schools (integrated curriculum - French, British, German, American, Canadian) would be a significant advantage.
Familiarity with multicultural settings
Teachers should usually have at least three years of teaching experience.
