Overview

PRIMARY PURPOSE: 

The Admissions Office Manager will oversee and manage all aspects of the Admissions Department on student recruitment and re-enrolment and to develop and implement all admissions goals and strategies. Working closely with the Admissions Committee, the Admissions Office Manager ensures that the admissions process run smoothly.

Responsibilities

LEADERSHIP AND SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Admissions Office Manager is ultimately responsible for compliance with the following areas in Admissions: 

  • Participating and providing input on school enrolment strategies in conjunction with the school Leadereship and for developing and implementing a course of action to achieve determined goals.
  • Managing and supporting the daily operations of the Admissions team including the application of all prospective and transfer students.
  • Coordinating and when necessary, conducting open house and campus tours in both campuses (EPC & ESC)
  • Updating, organising and keeping track of school admissions documentations and job descriptions.
  • Participating in the recruitment process for all admissions positions.
  • Conducting, overseeing training of admissions staff, and providing support and motivation to staff.
  • Communicating training and staffing needs to the line manager.

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS AND CONTACTS: 

  • Communicates with parents by phone, email and face to face for reasons that include answering enquiries about TES, giving campus tours and providing a wide variety of information about school operations; 
  • Liaises with heads of sections, assistant heads, heads of department and EAL / SEN staff to arrange interviews and assessments;
  • Contacts government / Taipei City education department officials to submit enrolment reports / clarify legal requirements for student registration, etc;
  • Works with other departments within the school (Finance, Accounting, Student Services, IT) to clarify and resolve issues for successful entry;
  • Provides the line manager & the Admissions Committee with regular updates and reports on the status of applications and consults with line manager regarding more complex cases and problems arising;

OTHER DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Manage the Open Apply online application system to enable the efficient dispatch of admissions information, arrangement of campus tours, other adjustments as required. 
  • Manage and coordinate the admissions assessment programmes and the organisation.
  • Organise the new parent orientation documents and parent presentations with sections. 
  • Provides induction information for new families and provides school sections with all relevant information about new students;
  • Ensures that all database information related to Admissions is checked on PowerSchool, delegates follow up through the team.
  • Oversees digital maintenance of Files hard copies of student files and maintains student archives;
  • Assists / advises the Admissions Committee on marketing and research data from Open Apply and PowerSchool.
  • Ensure that all database information related to Admissions is checked, entered and maintained accurately and systematically, without undue delay.
  • Ensure that all Admissions related policies are correct, updated and implemented accordingly.

  • Fluency in spoken Chinese (preferred)
